Hello bloggers! My name is Ashlee and I’m the new Director of Member Engagement and Brand Partnership here at Windy City Blogger Collective. I’m excited to slowly meet all of the WCBC members and share some of my Friday Five favorites! In the meantime, bare with me I’m fairly new to the blogging world. My friend and I recently started a blog called Olson & O’Neil. It focuses on the millennials who don’t have it all figured out, we share our advice for girls in their 20s, travel experiences sprinkled in with a few other fun topics.
Fall is officially here in the Windy City and I thought Wayfaring Rachel’s post “The Perfect Time Between Heatstroke and Chicago Winter” perfectly sums up my sentiments about this time in the city. I can finally whip out those fall booties and oversized comfy sweaters…yay!
What better way to celebrate the weekend than with this Black Cherry Lambrusco Float recipe from the A Squared blog. I’ll definitely be making this recipe tonight because hey it’s Friday and that’s reason enough to celebrate!
Sadly I’m not in school anymore but I’m still a big sucker for cute planners, notebooks, and new pens. Which is why I enjoyed this post from Lincoln Park Minute on “Chic Back-to-School Supplies”.
Last spring I graduated with a degree in design, art & technology so I found midwestlovefest’s interview with graphic designer Kim Knoll so interesting! Not only is Knoll an extremely talented designer but she also hosts the Creative Mornings here in Chicago. It was cool to read her story and learn that it does take time to develop one’s design skills.
Finally, New Kid on the Guac’s post on food philosophy was fun to read. She talks about having a positive relationship with food and how it’s all about balance. I enjoy eating healthy most of the time, but if a pizza is placed in front of my face I’m not going to say I won’t inhale four or five pieces…
