Chicago summer is synonymous with eating and drinking outside. There’s no shortage of patios and rooftops but WCBC got a chance to sip and chat on the patio at The Westin Chicago River North. The patio space is just off the Riverwalk and provides an almost secret garden oasis in the hustling and bustling River North neighborhood.
Originally the space was a Japanese garden but recently The Westin opened it up for happy hours (now that we can call them happy hours officially!) and special events. The patio space is just past the HANA restaurant space on the main floor of The Westin Chicago. We enjoyed a beautiful evening of speciality sangria and manhattans made with HAHA’s custom blend of Angels Envy Bourbon.
The Westin is also pioneering the Well-Being Movement. Guests are encouraged to Sleep Well, Eat Well, Move Well, Feel Well, Work Well and Play Well. We didn’t get a chance to try out the Heavenly Bed but we did get to explore the Eat Well pillar. Our lite bites were all delicious bits of Super Foods mixed with just enough unsuper foods to make them so delicious. Many of us went back for seconds, thirds, and in the case of the Brussels Sprouts, fourths.
Thank you to the staff at The Westin Chicago River North for hosting The Windy City Blogger Collective for a lovely evening on the patio!
