Friday Five

Happy Fri-YAY darling bloggers! It’s Lindzi here from The Trendy Sparrow blog and store. It looks like tomorrow is actually supposed to be in the low 50s! It’s not perfect, but hey…I’ll take any semblance of spring we can get! Last weekend’s stunning weather got me all too excited for spring, so hopefully we get some more sunshine soon. And it looks like I’m not the only one who has spring on the brain! So many of our amazing WCBCers out there have me so excited for spring I can barely stand it!

Jessica over at The Petite Diaries has already started busting out some of floral prints. She rocked the cutest colorful floral top blazer as part of her outfit of the day, and it already has me dying to see more festive colors, floral prints, and spring fashion!

These winter days are also really messing with my productivity. It’s so easy to curl up in front of Netflix, watch Gilmore Girls, and nap with my puppy when the weather is this yucky! Just another reason spring cannot come fast enough. I can’t wait to take my laptop to the park to work in the sunshine. In the meantime, Jess Keys over at The Golden Girl, recently wrote an amazing article featuring two fascinating new productivity habits! I’ve been trying them out this week (even for this post!) and they’ve really been working for me. If the winter blues have to wanting to nap instead of work, I suggest giving this post a good read.

Being a Texas girl, one thing is for sure…I love a good margarita! I can’t cook to save my life, but I love to make a mean cocktail. I can’t wait for those warmer spring weekend days where I can sit on my patio and drink a delicious cocktail. Jenny from Honey and Birch has the perfect spring cocktail recipe ready to go: a grapefruit hibicus margarita! As soon as it’s warm, you’re all invited over for drinks, okay?!

The beginning of those warmer days also means spring cleaning! Does anyone else besides me love going through your home to reorganize and declutter?! Looks like BriAnna of Crafty Coin does, too! She recently wrote an amazing post about how purging her apartment changed her life…and the post changed mine, too! I immediately went out and bought the book she mentions in her post. I can’t wait to use it to do some extensive spring cleaning.

Regardless of what season it is…cold days of winter or bright days of spring there is one thing that never goes out of style…the bold red lip! I’m absolutely obsessing over Ashley of Sed Bona’s guide to “the perfect red pout“. If you’re like me and pretty much want to rock the bold red lip year round, it’s an amazing guide on how to achieve the perfect pouty red lip for your skin tone.

XOXO – Lindzi
