This week Windy City Blog Co. hosted a happy hour at The Bristol. WCBC members were invited to sip on the restaurant’s signature drink, Moscow Mule, and taste a few of their menu items upstairs in their private dining room; which is the perfect place for cocktail hours, birthdays, or any other special event you can think of!
If you haven’t made your way over to The Bristol, we highly recommending popping by! It’s a great brunch spot with classic American-style food, located in Bucktown right off the expressway, so it’s super easy to get to. The restaurant has a gastropub atmosphere and it doesn’t hurt that they have an impressive menu of cocktails and beers.
This past spring The Bristol welcomed Todd Stein as the Executive Chef and partner of the restaurant. His goal is to keep The Bristol’s delicious menu while adding a few new vegetarian options.
Bartender Pablo Madrigal, who recently won second place in Ketel One #MasterOfTheMule competition, showed members how to make their deliciously refreshing Moscow Mule. This refreshing cocktail includes Ketel one vodka, fresh lime juice, ginger purée, gosling’s ginger beer. Yes, please!
All throughout the event members were encouraged to take pictures and post to social media, tagging @thebristolechi and using the hashtag #WCBCattheBristol. At the end of the evening, we announced a winner to the photo giveaway, Mag Mile Runner, whose Instagram post won her a $50 gift card to The Bristol!
Thank you to all the staff at The Bristol including Chef Todd Stein for the delicious bites and Pablo Madrigal for showing us how to make a refreshing Moscow Mule! A big thank you to Liz from B. Hospitality Co. for helping us organize the event. Most importantly thank you to all the members who came out to the happy hour, we love hosting events like this and looking forward to many more in the future!
