Describe your blog:
Urbane Nomad chronicles my adventures abroad as well as the unexpected encounters in everyday life as I rediscover Chicago. My goal is to inspire everyone to eat and travel well.
What is your favorite post you’ve written or your favorite series/type of post?
My favorite post is “My Top 10 Favorite Food Moments” because it mixes my two loves, food and travel. When writing the post, it brought back so many happy memories of traveling as a child, traveling solo, and with friends. The post just makes me smile when I think about it. Well, a little hungry too…
What is something you wish you knew how to do related to blogging?
I wish I knew how to create quality videos. My goal for this year is to remember to record my adventures and post more videos… I guess I’m having too much fun, I forget about to press “record.”
Why did you start blogging?
I started blogging to share with my friends all my fun adventures and answer their questions about traveling.
What is your favorite social platform?
My favorite social platform is Twitter because I have learned so much from other travelers in chats. I literally almost had a heart attack when trying to figure it all out, but there is such a great and supportive group of “strangers” out there.
What are a few of your favorite Chicago blogs?
1. The Golden Girl – Her blog has great practical tips and a super cute design.
2. Chicago Food Girl – I don’t know how she stays so fit, but love all of her food pics.
3. The Neo-trad – One word: chic.
4. Sed Bona – “Quality over quantity” is such a great motto to live by.
