Kori is the blogger behind The Chicagolite.
Describe your blog:
The Chicagolite is a luxury lifestyle blog that takes my readers into some of the most coveted events and activities in Chicago. From fashion shows, to restaurant openings I’m pretty much anywhere and everywhere.
What is your favorite post you’ve written or your favorite series/type of post?
I love conducting interviews. I like having the ability to have a conversation with influential people and essentially get inside their head for a moment. I try to incorporate interviews in all of my posts. When you have a conversation or a story with the subject, it makes for a much more interesting article. Since fashion is my first love, my highlight posts have been interviews with designers Pamella Roland, Gianvito Rossi, and Elie Tahari.
What is something you wish you knew how to do related to blogging?
I wish I knew how to code. I’m envious of those who know how to design entire websites from scratch. I just wish I was more techy so I could have the ability to create the next Facebook.
Why did you start blogging?
It started out as a creative outlet so I wouldn’t be bored in between waiting for freelance opportunities. Then I started having loads of fun and now I see it as being much more than a hobby. I truly believe it has the potential to be something great some years down the road.
What is your favorite social platform?
Instagram: I love sharing my events or things that I am doing through photos. Plus it’s fun to look back on and see everything that I’ve done. It’s like the magazine of my life.
