Meghan is the blogger behind Lincoln Park Minute.
Describe your blog:
My blog is a space for the twenty-something college woman (particularly Chicagoan) that seek inspiration and interesting reads. As the writer of Lincoln Park Minute, I like to share what musings I come across that make me excited. The two principles I try to base my blog off of are creativity and curiosity, some things that should be pursued and never ignored.
What is your favorite post you’ve written or your favorite series/type of post?
My favorite type of post to write is my monthly ‘Lust List’ because I love keeping up to date with trends. It’s essentially a combination of different items, whether (skincare/beauty/fashion/etc.), that I’ve been using and/or loving lately. It’s also great to share these finds with my readers!
What is something you wish you knew how to do related to blogging?
Something I wish I knew how to do when it comes to blogging is how to engage my visitors.
Why did you start blogging?
I started blogging as a way to counteract my body dysmorphia. It’s really helped my self-image and body image. But I also adore fashion, photography, and writing so it just seemed obvious.
What is your favorite social platform?
My favorite social media platform is definitely Instagram because I LOVE taking photos and editing them. It’s kind of my safe haven. It’s really fun to share your life and stories via photos.
What are a few of your favorite Chicago blogs?
A few of my favorite Chicago blogs are Jess Keys’s The Golden Girl and Megan Patterson’s Sparkles and Sprinkles.
