Garnish and Glam, a newly budding social network for women that we featured earlier this week, kicked things off with their first event on Tuesday night at Madewell on Rush Street. It was a night of sweet treats, champagne, and fabulous women getting to know each other! We shopped and sipped and enjoyed a special discount and clutch with purchase thanks to Madewell + Garnish and Glam.
Brittney Mee and Ashley, two stylish ladies, showed off two ways to style Madewell looks by day and night. In a fun twist, they switched mannequins and took each others’ looks from day to night. Brittney’s first look featured a mustard colored shirt worn over a t-shirt and skinny jeans with boots for relaxed and simplistic daytime style. Ashley took that look from day to night by removing the button down shirt and adding a black blazer, more exciting jewelry, a leopard clutch and blue pumps that made her jeans instantly ready for a night out on the town.
Ashley’s first look was a flirty leather skater skirt and booties with a *button down shirt* and a crossbody bag. The skirt served as a perfect basis for a day to night transitional outfit by swapping the button down for a sheer blouse with a jeweled neckline and a lacey bralette and heels.
This was the first of many future monthly events that Garnish and Glam will be hosting to connect women looking for some fun and new friends in the city. Next month they will be hosting a members only event at Goldplaited teaching how to do a bold lip and cat eye on February 6th. If you’re interested in G&G, head on over to their site to get more details!
