What do you get when you bring eight female-run small businesses together? One Boss Babe Popup Shop.
This killer concept came to life all thanks to Lindzi Shanks, entrepreneur extraordinaire and owner of the Trendy Sparrow. Shanks previously held a popup shop for her business last year at Block 37, after winning the “Next Great Popup Shop”. She reconnected with Block 37 and purposed the idea for The Boss Babe Popup Shop. The shop connects Chicagoans to a variety of businesses they wouldn’t normally find in stores since most are online-based. It’s a perfect opportunity for shoppers to come in and see the products with their own eyes.
The shop includes Alice & Wonder, an online shop based in Chicago curating all things pretty and fun for her and home. Earth Cadets — locally screen printed pillows and children’s clothing. Standout Style showcases a variety stylish pieces from her award-winning boutique. Hand-made jewelry from See Song Designs, a mix of bright colored, bold pieces inspired by floral and geometric patterns. Vo Jewelry offers effortless pieces that one can wear every day, yet versatile enough to take an ordinary outfit to the next level.
XO Marshmallow serves up deliciously handcrafted gourmet marshmallows and hot chocolate.
