We can all admit it’s easier said than done to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Between stressful work days and social engagements, it’s hard to schedule time for things like workouts and meal prep. This week we’re highlighting fitness/food bloggers who have some tips on how to maintain a healthy lifestyle, whether it’s through mental reflection, new fitness routines or healthy recipes.
1. Know When to Slow Down
Fall can be a little crazy. A busy schedule can lead avoiding time for oneself. Erin of Erin’s Inside Job recently wrote a post on “4 Signs You Need to Slow Down” that is a must-read. Our bodies tell us a lot. Erin points out that there are indicators that you may be doing too much.
2. Set Monthly Goals
We love how Mag Mile Runner does monthly goals. One of her goals this month is to make sure to not overcommit herself. By setting goals, it’s easy to stay on target with a healthy lifestyle. Such goals could be anything from eating more vegetables throughout the week or scheduling 30 minutes of “me” time.
3. Look for Simple Healthy Recipes
Healthy Stacey has TONS of healthy, delicious recipes up on her blog. But what we love most about a current food post was the dose of inspiration from her recent read “Big Magic”, which gives little lessons in creativity. Not to mention a recipe for Fig & Bacon Pizza…yes please!
4. Find an Exercise You Enjoy
Running is a great stress reliever. Whether you’re just getting into running or what to learn how to overcome the mental obstacles of becoming a long distance runner; Suzlyfe’s post breaks down what it takes to be a confident runner.
5. Implement Dietary Supplements
Last but not least we have the duo behind Once Upon a Dollhouse. Their post “Probiotics and Pretty” talks about prepping the body for the colder months and the importance of incorporating probiotics into your diets!
