Happy Friday, lovely bloggers! This is Alex from Gilt and Gall, a music-based lifestyle blog where I write about everything from R&B to the vintage Milwaukee Bucks jersey I bought in a Logan thrift store to my great-grandmother’s meatball recipe. So much great content from my fellow bloggers made it fun and quite difficult to narrow down my Friday Five. Enjoy:
Jenny of Honey and Birch brought back her recipe for Gin Raspberry Fizz, a cocktail that screams SUMMER.
I’ve been looking to spice up my warm weather cocktail game, and I’m so looking forward to sipping this on my patio soon enough.I think it’s safe to say we’ve all had enough of this fluctuating weather, especially when it dips below fifty degrees in May. Thankfully, I’ve channeled some Hawaiian vibes thanks to Her Tasty Life and her favorite foods she got to nosh on during her recent trip to Kauai. Read about Brett’s delicious vacation in her post Best of Kauai.
I’m all about thrifting and refashion, which is one of the many reasons I love reading Thriftanista in the City. Warmer weather means maxi dresses, and in this post Troy explains how she vamped up her vintage find in a way that caters more to her style.
Life with a Side of Coffee creatively pairs movies with specific wines, and this past week’s selections were Mrs. Doubtfire and a 2014 Malvasia Blanca. Christine’s unique descriptions of how particular wine fits within the emotions of the film is so interesting and made me want to reach for a glass of Pinot Noir (what else is new!).
When it comes to fashion, juxtaposition is one of my favorite things. I’m so into how Brittany from The F Bombs works a more casual t-shirt into a formal ensemble for Get Your Chic On. This post gave me a lot of creative inspiration for my summer wardrobe.
I hope you all loved reading this as much as I did. Be sure to check out Gilt and Gall and say hi.
Have a great weekend, everyone!
