Hey there! I’m Jess, a lifestyle blogger at 26 and Not Counting who moved to Chicago in July of 2016. I love traveling, dining out, and subsequently, a good sweat session. I can usually be found wearing stripes, skinnies, and my favorite leather Converse, but I won’t deny a good reason to get fancied up! The people who read my blog come for the attainable style, product roundups, and wellness check-ins, but they stay for the realness and open dialogue which come from sharing my personal life stories. We’re figuring things out as we go – together!
When did you start blogging and what inspired you to start your blog?
I started 26 and Not Counting on a whim back in the summer of 2013 and it’s been serving as my escape ever since. My only regret is that I didn’t start sooner! I’m inspired by the blogs, books, and magazines I read, running in the outdoors (but that doesn’t mean the treadmill hasn’t led to a great idea, or two!), experiencing a new city for the first time, and so much more. I believe inspiration can stem from anywhere – you just have to be open to it.
What is your favorite blog post that you have written?
That’s tough, but my favorite posts are always the ones where I’m able to connect on a deeper level with the people who read my blog. I’ve written about new beginnings, immense heartbreak, body woes, and my struggle to balance everything this life has to offer.
What do you love about blogging?
Blogging is my escape. It has forced me to grow in ways that I could never have imagined and I’m most grateful for everything I’ve learned about myself through the process!
What are some brands that you have worked with, or some brands that you would love to work with?
I’ve had the incredible opportunity to work with Target, Birchbox, Discover, Steve Madden, Shopbop, Moroccanoil, and more. I’d love to bring something to life with Kate Spade New York and Nike is high on my list, too!
