Friday Five with My Petite Joys

friday-five-my-petite-joys

Hi there Windy City Bloggers – TGIF! Has this not been one of the most gorgeous Spring weeks? The sunshine and warmth make me happy to be a Chicagoan! I’m Christina from My Petite Joys – a lifestyle blog dedicated to enjoying the little things in life. I’ve recently started a series called #petitetreats where I basically go on baking adventures and post what works and tastes the best. My favorite desserts are always fruit filled or fruit topped, so this Friday I’m sharing some fruit inspired desserts from WCBC members that look amazing – let’s pick our favorites and eat something sweet!

Vegan Granola Cups With Fruit Lemon Filling from A Dash of Megnut

I eat with my eyes, so when I came across these vegan granola cups from Megan I was hooked. Not only are these beautiful, but they are healthy and can sit in for either breakfast or dessert. Megan’s blog focuses on gluten free and allergy friendly meals and she has a treasure trove of recipes that I can’t wait to try.

Coconut Almond Sweet Rolls from Smitten In May

So I might be stretching it a bit with this one. I’m not entirely sure if coconut is a fruit – but since it comes off a tree, I’m going to go with a yes. If it’s not – just go with it because how good do these cinnamon rolls look? Not only is Min an awesome cook – while exploring and getting to know her blog I also came to love her simple and neutral inspired style. Her insta-feed is incredible and I’m excited to have found a style muse!

Bourbon Peach Berry Layer Cake from Lito Supply Co

With my #petitetreats series, I’ve been wanting to try a “naked” cake that I see all over Pinterest these days. Looking at Lindsey’s peach and blueberry version, I’m inspired and emboldened to try my own. Her blog is a tribute to all butter lovers like me and I’ll be trying out these this recipe in the next few weeks! She also has a Lemon Lavender Mascarpone Cheesecake that looks out of this world.

Raw Raspberry Lemon Bars from Hungry By Nature

Despite my love of sweets – I’m trying to focus on being healthier this year and making better choices for my body – Ellie’s food blog helps me do just this! I’m going to try out a lot of her recipes including this raspberry lemon bar. I can’t believe these are dairy free, egg free, gluten free! They look like something Marie Antoinette would love to pop in her mouth while sipping Champagne at Versailles.

If I haven’t tempted you enough with these delicious posts head on over to My Petite Joys and see some of the delicious desserts I’ve crafted! My favorites so far are a Raspberry Matcha Tart and a Pear Tart. Thanks for reading!
