Hi! I’m Alex, but some people call me Sassy because my blog is called Sassy Confetti. Sassy Confetti is a lifestyle blog focused on food, fashion and travel. Basically it’s about my life and how I spend my days!
When did you start blogging and what inspired you to start you blog?
I actually started blogging right after I graduated from college (’07 eek!) with a different blog called Working Girl that was about my life as an assistant post college. It was so fun because I got to write it with my other recent grad friend, but as we got older and our jobs became more demanding, we had to let the blog go. After that I started a Tumblr called Sassy Confetti that I loved because I got to focus more on visuals and tidbits about my life and that eventually evolved into Sassy Confetti 2.0 which is my blog and website now!
What is your favorite blog post that you have written?
My favorite posts are for sure my travel guides. My friends have always come to me for recommendations when they are traveling to different cities so putting all my guides in one place has been really enjoyable for me. Some of my favorites are Palm Springs and Nashville!
What do you love about blogging?
I love being able to connect my favorite brands with other people. It’s so awesome to be able to know about an awesome product, or place, or new food and then share that with other people and then see them also enjoy it. That’s why I like putting on my own influencer events – it’s so rewarding seeing those connections happen in real time.
What are some brands that you have worked with, or some brands that you would love to work with?
I recently partnered with MM.LaFleur to do an event and then afterwards went in to work with them on a blog post and it was so fun to be able to try on clothes and work directly with the stylists to show why curvy women should shop at their store. I also have been lucky to work with Solo Cup and Crazy Beautiful Wines – both lovely companies to work with!
