WCBC and Moulinex at Williams Sonoma Recap

Earlier this month, four of our food bloggers teamed up with Moulinex to host cooking demos at Williams Sonoma in Lincoln Park. Each blogger created a recipe utilizing Moulinex’s Chopper, a handy kitchen tool that chops and purees in just seconds.

Leading up to the event, the bloggers created recipes and shared them on their websites. Then a couple weeks later at Williams Sonoma, the bloggers got to show their recipe and the chopper in action during their demos. And event attendees got to snack on the blogger’s creations.

Kit from The Kittchen kicked things off with her Cranberry Salsa recipe. This slightly spicy salsa is a perfect appetizer or side dish for Thanksgiving.

Then Jenny from Honey and Birch showed the crowd how to make her Mashed Ginger Carrots, a flavorful fall side dish, that is a fun twist on the current carrot trend.

Jordan from Smile Sandwich came up with a creative Sweet Potato Hummus that was easy to prepare. A touch of greek yogurt made this hummus creamy and it was loaded with sweet potato flavor.

Lauren from Lakeshore Lady made a Roasted Butternut Squash and Apple Soup that she garnished with spicy toasted pumpkin seeds. It was a sweet and spicy soup perfect for chilly fall nights.

The bloggers all loved working with the Moulinex Chopper and the attendees were all impressed by the power the little guy packs!

Attendees even got a chance to give the Moulinex Chopper a spin! You pull handle to spin the blades within the chopper, which means that you don’t need to plug it in – it’s light, compact, and easy to store and clean. It’s ideal for city dwellers who don’t want to devote kitchen space to storing a bulkier food processor. While our bloggers showed examples of using the chopper to create recipes, it’s also ideal of chopping veggies for soups and other recipe preparation. You might want to go ahead and add this to your holiday wish list.
