Megan is the blogger behind Sassy Eats.
Describe your blog:
Sassy Eats is an honest place for people who love to cook or want to learn. I share personal stories – from dating blunders to work disasters – in hopes it resonates with readers. I also just love simple, delicious food – and as I’m single, recipes for one or two people. I’m always on the hunt for the next foodgasm, with a glass of sauvignon blanc in hand.
What is your favorite post you’ve written or your favorite series/type of post?
I think the personal ones are always my favorites. There’s one on first dates that I really love, the one I posted for the one year birthday of Sassy Eats and an honest one when I went through a break-up. Food-wise, my favorites are the ones that have a healthy spin on them without sacrificing flavor and the integrity of the dish.
What is something you wish you knew how to do related to blogging?
I’m constantly trying to learn more about my camera and when to use which setting at which time. I would love an hour tutorial on all things camera from an expert.
Why did you start blogging?
Because an ex-boyfriend told me it was a dumb idea to start. (that’s about 1/3 of the story) the rest of it is here: http://sassyeats.com/happy-birth-versary-sassy-eats/
What is your favorite social platform?
Instagram. Because they haven’t created an app that will let me smell food, so we settle for beautiful visuals of it.
What are a few of your favorite Chicago blogs?
Walton and Rush
