Meet Bree!

WCBC had an amazing intern join the team in February and it is time that I introduce her! Meet Bree everyone!

Tell us a little bit about yourself! Where are you from? Where are you going to school? What are you studying?

My name is Bree Quiachon, a 21-year old, from a northwest suburb of Chicago (Elgin, Illinois to be exact). I have always had a love for the hustle and bustle of the city life and I moved to Chicago to go to school for Fashion Business and Marketing at Columbia College. I am currently finishing the end of my junior year and will be graduating in May 2019.

What is your personal blog about?

My blog (http://www.breequiachon.com/) is about all things fashion, travel, and lifestyle. I love to shop TjMaxx, Nordstrom Rack, online— basically anywhere, where I can get a good deal with unique pieces. Don’t get me wrong, I have spent a decent amount of money on full priced items, but there is something about the mission to find cute articles of clothing for a good deal that brings my heart joy (and wallet)! I like to share my advice and thoughts with my readers of how to shop smart but still have a cute sense of style.

What inspired you to start blogging?

At first, my blog was strictly a creative outlet to start posting my work and build my portfolio for school and future job purposes. Being a college student and surrounded by so many creative and talented individuals, I became inspired to put all my work together. I can definitely say my style has evolved and I finally have a certain “look” and aesthetic to my work and my blog. After a couple of months of taking OOTD pictures, a friend of mine had suggested that I turn my portfolio into a blog. I was excited about the idea and didn’t realize how much truly goes into it!

Who are some of your favorite bloggers?

I get so much inspiration from several bloggers:

Olivia Rink (http://oliviarink.com/): Olivia is originally from Indiana but graduated from a huge state school, University of Kentucky. I consider Olivia to be one of my “peers” and role models, she is quite the inspiration on how much she has grown since I first started following her blog. She has the best fashion senses and advice on all things beauty, wellness, and life!

With Love from Kat (https://withlovefromkat.com/): Kat is a California based fashion and travel blogger. Kat’s life story is what basically I aspire to be in life, a New York City girl who eventually moved out to live her life to the fullest in Venice Beach, California.

Bre Sheppard (http://bresheppard.com/) Bre is a Washington based fashion blogger. This adorable, 24-year-old is all about shopping for deals! Being a college student, I love being able to relate to these full-time bloggers. On top of blogging, Bre also works full-time for a merchandising and marketing company. Which is something that I also plan on doing when I graduate from college!

Cella Jane (https://cellajane.com/): Becky is the cutest mom blogger, based out of Kansas City. One day I aspire to be as fit and fashionable when I become a mom. Not to mention, dress up my kids as adorable as hers! #momgoals

What is your favorite food?
7-year-old Bree would say chicken nuggets and french fries BUT college Bree has definitely been living off of Pasta for the past couple of years. Take me on a date to Noodles and Co. or Vapianos and I am YOURS. It is safe (or dangerous) to say that I have found a new found love for carbs.

What is your post-college dream job?

I definitely see myself blogging part-time. The beauty with Fashion and is that you can really go about it in so many ways. My mind has definitely been all over the place with where I would like to be and what I want to be doing after graduation but as of right now, I can see myself being a Fashion Director and living life in California or New York! I recently just accepted a summer internship for a Social Media/PR position to work for Modern Luxury Magazine and I am excited to see where I go from here.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

In between school, work, and blogging I definitely love to wind down, relax, and spend some quality time with myself, my family, and my friends. I am definitely a “girly girl.” I love to go shop, get my nails done, have a movie night with my closest of girl friends, chill with a face mask on, find a new neighborhood to explore, & eat at the cutest and most delicious foods at a new restaurants.

What is your dream travel destination?

Definitely, GREECE. I have recently just traveled abroad in London, England for a semester and I absolutely fell in love with the United Kingdom and Europe. I was amazed with the old ancient history of the streets, the food, and the people. Greece is definitely somewhere I would love to check off my bucket list. I plan on going there as a graduation present with my family. Fingers crossed!
